Beacon of Partnership Award
Why a Beacon
Anyone who has spent time on a jobsite knows the weather can turn. Schedules slip, budgets tighten, tempers flare, and the people doing the work get lost in the noise. A beacon doesn't calm the storm. It simply shines, steadily, so others can find their way.
The Natasha Hogan Beacon of Partnership Award honors the people who shine that way in the Orange County construction community. In recognizing them, we hope to guide more captains toward the light.
Where it Began
In 2024, Natasha Hogan, who led Estate Partners for more than a decade, created an award unlike any other in our industry. It wouldn't go to the biggest project or the longest résumé. It would recognize how great work gets done: with honesty, generosity, and genuine care for every person involved. That year, she presented it for the first time.
We lost Natasha in February 2025, and Estate Partners named the award in her honor. It carries her name because it carries her spirit. She brought warmth and loyalty to everything she did. She took joy in bringing people together. And she believed that the way we treat one another is part of the work itself.
What it Honors
This is not a lifetime achievement award. It doesn't measure a portfolio or a legacy of finished homes, though our recipients have remarkable ones. Instead, it reflects back the values Estate Partners was founded on.
The award recognizes a leader in our community whose work sets the standard for quality, and whose way of working sets the standard for everything else. That leader may be an architect, builder, designer, or trade partner.
Collaborative. They seek out the best partners for every project and give each one a real seat at the table.
Respectful. They honor the expertise of everyone on the team, from the principal to the apprentice.
Equitable. They believe every agreement should leave all sides better off. They negotiate fairly and hold their partners to a high standard, and they hold themselves to the same one.
Curious. They ask questions, listen to the answers, and keep learning long after they could stop.
Uncompromising. They push every project they touch to be better, and they lift everyone on it along the way.
The effect is felt first on the jobsite, as a culture of openness, equity, and mutual respect. Over time, it is felt across our entire industry. That shift is what Natasha spent her career working toward, and what this award exists to carry forward.
